The gold rim catches the light beautifully when the plates are stacked on the shelf, and the porcelain feels sturdy without being heavy. I've used them every day for two weeks and the blue pattern hasn't faded or scratched at all, which surprised me for the price.
These plates add such a bright pop of color to my everyday table setting, and the blue and gold pattern looks even more delicate in person than in the photos. I've already used them for two dinners and they handled the dishwasher without any fading on the porcelain.
The gold rim has stayed perfectly intact through two dishwasher cycles, which honestly surprised me for porcelain. The blue pattern catches the light so nicely that even a simple pasta dish looks like something from a fancy restaurant.
